Fastest CD-RW disks ?

Post by NascarFool »

I have a LiteOn 52x32x52x and the fastest CD-RW disks I have seen are only 10x. I have yet to find a decent online vendor that sells 700MB/10x CD-RW disks in more than a single disk. Anyone know where to get 10packs of major brand CD-RW disks online ?

I've never bothered to look because I usually get 50 packs of cdr's free after rebate, so I use them and just toss em when no longer needed. Weird they don't have the 32x availbale though.

32x are available but they are hard to find because they are hard to qualify at 32x speeds.

I see BB has 24x but only 650MB, they also have 12x 700MB. I use "Drag-to-Disc" (DirectCD) to save stuff like latest drivers and small programs. Therefore saving on some drive space.

I bought some Samsung "10x" CDRWs from a dollar store, and they actually burn fine @ 12x (Nero actually let's me burn that fast as well).
No complaints with them, and they play perfectly in my Kenwood KDC-319 car deck as well.

I found some Memorex "Ultra Speed" 16x to 24x at CompUSA for $7.95 per 5pack. My old 10x disks are pretty much wore out. :D

P.S. I like the Christmas Smilies. ;)

The best CDs I've found are the Fuji blues. They are 32x or 48x speed, can't remember but, I can always burn at max speed with them. Best Buy has em but it's like $40 for a spindle of 100. :(
