Anyone have the driver discs for an HP Laserjet 1200 series all-in-one printer?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Technically it's a 1220 if it has the built in scanner - the 1200 is the printer only version - but they all have "1200 Series" on the front (a 1220 is just a 1200 with the seperate scanner attachment installed).

HP tech support is beginning to tick me off. I have a client who lost the driver CDs. I've been on the phone with HP on and off for MONTHS trying to find out how I can get a replacement.

You can only download the printer driver but NOT the scanner driver (so they tell me, and it's not listed in their driver download page) - something to do with their licensing agreement with whoever is providing the scanning software.

I FINALLY get someone on the phone the other day that offers to ship me the CD for $9. When I got the damn thing yesterday, though, it ONLY had the printer driver on it. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!

I'm starting to get really pissed.

Anyone own one of these, have one at work or have a client that owns one? I would GREATLY appreciate it you could send me a copy of the drivers. I'd be happy to pay to cover shipping, blank CDs and your time.

Thanks.....

EGO: I checked. They're only printer drivers, nothing for the scanner :(

WVJOHN: Thanks.

These things are pretty popular in offices although most people have the plain 1200 printer only version.

I dunno if this will help you at all FP, but is the scanner made by someone else and available on their site? Or if it's an HP scanner, does HP happen to have an "All in one" scanner driver package kinda like vid card makers do?
