that would be nice, eh?

i still like the new 2001 corvette Z06. it's 0-60 might be slower (like it matters at that point????), but it's ALOT cheaper....could almost have TWO of 'em for the price of the viper. :)

From the pic and to my recollection of the Vipers I've seen, it looks just like the others to me since '92. The one I like best (so far) is the blue coupe with a white stripe.

Well when I get one of those, you guys won't be sayin' that stuff :D

What is just as important as the car, is the driver. If you don't know how to "drive" the car, then you won't be able to see it's full potential. And I don't mean "drive" as take it around the block once or twice ;)

Yeah, it's a very nice car and all (same look as always still), they needed to slap in 10 cylinders in that baby to get that power. I'd rather have a Porche 911 Turbo... that's my dream machine! :)

tunis has a point. It takes Dodge using a V10 w/ 500 horsepower to match what an Corvette Z06 is doing with a V8 and 385hp. Also the Z06 handles better! It also cost only 48k compaired to over 75-85k for a viper.

This is just comming from my crazy mind and it might be totally wrong. But just hear me out ;)

There are some Jap cars with V4's that can pump out what a decent V6 can do. The way I look at it is the Dodge has more cylinders, therefore, it doesn't have to work as hard as the V8 in the 'Vette. Therefore, it shouldn't break down as often and wouldn't need as much maintainance. So the bigger engine doesn't have to work as hard as the smaller engine for the same performance. Just my thoughts, though they may be entirely wrong?

Now, I don't necessarily wanna compare it to the 'vette. I haven't driven either and most likely will never even sit in one in my entire life, but the Viper is still a sweet lookin' car. It's a rich mans car. That's for sure ;)

I personally wouldnt want any of them. You'd stick out too much and wind up having people scratch it out of jealousy...

You cannot tell me you wouldnt' want one of those CaterpillarAssassin :p . If you have the money to own one anyway, you have the insurance to pay for scratches. BTW, you wouldn't leave it alone in a parking lot for more than 5 minutes anyway. I wouldn't atleast. It would just be a cruising car for those beautiful summer days, when the streets are dry, and the riceboys are out <img src=http://www.hipnotictranz.homestead.com/files/evil.gif>

The only problem with a Viper is not many people will want to actually race you. RiceBoys won't even try as they know they have no chance. I would much rather have a completely stock looking 5.0 Mustang pushing out better 1/4 times than the Viper. That way you can hella surprise people at the stoplight. Hotshots in Vipers especially. Unless they hear the whine of the blower. Heh heh.
