plucky, the 733 xeon is nothing more than a coppermine 733. the new xeons are NOT as different as the old monsters. Only benifit over a standard chip is the ability to run upto 16 of em on the same board.
But a dual PIII 550 Xeon against a dual PIII 550 katamai, would be a slaughter in favor of the Xeon

biohazard, don't forget the model A's... they're 700mhz and up (100mhz bus) and they have 1mb/2mb cache...
oh, and i think the slot2 of the copper/xeons helps..
