Depending on the mobo you may need to configure the CPU speed in BIOS (right now it might be running in a Safe mode). Also some AMD mobos need to be jumpered for the proper front side bus speed.
As for BIOS, until you install Windows I would strongly suggest you use the default settings in BIOS. You can tweak later.
Only install the vid card and no other cards for now - Windows installs generally go smoother the less hardware you have installed.

Chill Bud..
People do work, we don't always have time to get right back to you. You can set it to FDD or leave it as HDD, it doesn't matter as you can change it whenever you want. No need to BUMP this as most of us use the "View New Threads" link at the top right hand corner and will see this and read it when we come back around. Just take it slow and enjoy yourself. http://www.google.com can help you a lot too if you're stuck and need an immediate answer. You should always google first..

Do you have..
The bios setup the way you want? If you do, just let it run. Don't hit anything until XP starts asking you questions. You don't want to hit F1 to run setup, you'll want to hit F2 to resume, provided those are the choices you're being provided. If you aren't prompted to hit a key, then don't. Just put the CD in and let it go.. eGo

Leave the CD in and reboot it.
Then, if it asks you to hit F1 to continue, hit F1 and wait for it to boot from the CD
