Wiring the fans

Post by StEaLtH-X »

I am wiring my fans, and i'm wondering do you just hook the fans to the PSU? I'm pretty sure u do but wanted to make sure.. And also my PSU has like 1 wire with two 4 pin connectors..Is it ok to hook one of the 4 pins to the cd drive and one to a fan??

usaully the motherboard has fan headers for the cpu fan and 1 case fan, all others would just be piggy backed to the psu unless you where using a fanbus or rheostat

Hook the 4 pin fans right to the PSU 4 pin connectors... Most fans have pass through connectors so you can run 2-3 off of one power supply connection...

Thanks Pred.. I put the thermal compound on the core and the hsf.. I got a very very tiny drop on the chip beside the core.. So I whiped it off very gently, was that ok?? Also I hope I got the HSF on right.
