MS6905 rev. 1 & Soyo SY-370 rev. D...do they support FC-PGA CPUs?

Post by Nuts4GTS »

I have a Celly 566 and Celly 633 that just don't seem to want to run on these slockets...are the slockets incompatible? I am testing using an Abit BE6-II RAID and have tested the Celly 633 in a S370 mobo and know it works (Celly 566 is NOT known working yet). Please advise. BTW, the Abit mobo is known working as I have had it running with a Celly 500 on the same MSI slocket mentioned above. Thanks for any input!

Edit: It seems that this page may have answered my question if Celly 566+ chips are indeed FC-PGA IIRC.

Be aware a celeron 500 and a 566 are two different things. I had an asus slotkit for my 500 and when I got my 533, needed a new slotkit from asus with fc-pga support and selectors for 66-100-133 to handle the coppermine voltages.

I liked the abit slotkits best.
