Overclocking the XP 2500 Barton
I've read many reveiws and most of them say that oced the 2500 Barton up to a 3200... Has anyone oced the 2500?? I'm building a new comp and if I can get a 3200 for the price of 2500 I will...
Welcome!
Yes, many of us here have OC'ed that chip, and often even faster then that. Save the $, get a Good heatsink, and enjoy the free speed.

WELCOME!!
Hey Bud, It's me.. VulcanWolf93.. Go by eGoCeNTRoNiX here though.. I think the guys here will agree with me in saying you should get an SLK-800/900 to cool your Barton.. and some kind of 80-92mm fan..

I have enough money to spend for the EPoX 8RDA3+ if that is a recomendation.. Since i'm geting the 2500 I will buy a nice name brand heatsink.. I already have 1 80mm fan on the side window plus another 80mm Blue LED fan coming in the mail..What heatsink do you guys recomend??

It all depends..
Sometimes you can get lucky and all your parts will work perfectly together and you'll get it going on the first shot. Other times, you'll have to work your way up and tweak things a step at a time. It would help to know exactly what you're going to have. We kinda know what motherboard your shooting for, but you won't always get the same results as the next person with the same exact hardware.. But that's what makes it fun! Just be patient and take your time. Once you have everything and know what you've got we can be of a little more help..

I think..
Dad and I both have the 8RDA+ and it's been a dream. You may try poking about to see if/what advantages there are to the 8RDA3+ (other than the obvious SATA and so on). I myself don't have a need for all the added bonuses.. But that's me.. eGo
