It was a fun, fairly exciting movie, although I think that they didnt explain a whole lot and that the story was pretty ludicrous. Good entertainment, but very forgettable.

Saw it last night with the wife. I thought it was very well done with a good story line. You have to be paying attention or you won't understand the story line. Basically, the Vampires have hunted and almost killed all the lycons(Werewolfs) due a past fued between the two groups hundreds of years ago. You really don't understand what started the feud until the end of the movie.

Reminds me of the movie Blade, with lots of action. Bill Nighy plays Viktor the sleeping vampire who has been sleeping for some time until awaken by Kate Beckinsale (Selene) a beautiful vampire warrior. He looks just like a vampire from past movies. She falls in love with a lycon who wants the fued to end.

If you guys like Matrix and Blade, you'll like this movie.

I paid attention, and its a very lackluster movie. It isnt exactly hard to follow, just not worth following.

My Thoughts..

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

I liked it myself. It was fairly original.. Any hot chick in black leather is a plus.. ;) But, I was rather disappointed that the "head" werewolf, or Lycon if you prefer, never became a werewolf.. the biggest badest one you got to see was Raze.. And that was kinda shitty.. But I did enjoy the movie.. :) eGo

story wasnt worth following,i will give special effects a plus but i dont see much originality in this movie, its just another flick trying to be the matrix.

Lucian (sp) did become a werewolf.. remember when he bit ol' boy?

I agree w/ Greg... it was OK... but didn't live up to the hype that people have been telling me...
that and I was REALLY disappointed about how big a wuss ol' girl's loverboy turned out to be... whatever happened to more powerful than a werewolf or vampire??? He got his ass kicked.

I didn't remember him becoming a FULL werewolf though?? I thought he just started and didn't get any further than that.. Anywho, I'm with you on the guy being a wuss.. I really was expecting some major butt kicking.. I'm guessing it's just because he was "still new"? Maybe his powers weren't at full strength yet? What would you call him anyways? A wolfpire? heh.. eGo

Found this page w/ names for vampires from all cultures:
http://www.agathodaimon.de/english/vamp6.htm

Portugal: The Bruxsa is actually a cucubuth (a critter that is both a Wer-Wolf and a Vampire) that attacks travellers & their own (the Bruxsa's own) children

I believe this term is pronounced broo-hah... any thoughts?
