PSU Follies?
Hey Guys.. Was swapping a system from one case to another last night, the cases are exactly the same except for color. Well, when I get all the stuff hooked back up, I go to power it on and guess what? The fans spin up, then they stop, and then they spin, then they stop, then they spin, then they stop.. And they keep doing this. PSU is generic, but was working fine right before I moved it. I did spray it down with some air to clean the dust bunnies out of it. Could this have caused a problem? I was too lazy to mess with it last night, but I'm going to try swapping the PSU out for another one tonight when I get home as my new HD came in. he he he.. I'll get to experiment with restoring a ghost image of my boot drive onto another drive tonight..
Me hopes this works without a hitch. Any thoughts about the PSU though? Thanx Guys.. eGo

Yah.. I did that..
Unplugged it, and the fans would spin until the caps were drained.. Then I could leave it sit and come back and it would do the same thing. I've had PSUs do this before when they didn't make "good" contact at the ATX connector, but nothing has changed.. It's all the same hardware.. So unless the board is just sitting funny because of the case, I'm at a loss.. Will experiment more with it tonight.. Thanx. eGo

I thought that may be the case.. I'm gonna pull it and replace it.. But it shouldn't be different. The cases are exactly the same.. lol..
