I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

I have the Kenwood 72X. Drive is plenty fast but one problem I have had with it is it won't run with CloneCD for some reason. I have this drive along with a Plextor 12X/10X/32X Eide. All my copying software works with this combo except CloneCD. Maybe in the future CloneCD will make their software work with this combo.
I have a 50x sony in our puter upstairs. Very fast, relaiable and pretty cheap. I think I picked it up for like $45 brand new.
The plextor 40x scsi cdrom is awesome. I'm actually going to buy another here soon to put in my brothers computer.
I have heard nothing but good about the kenwood72x, but I am yet to use one for myself. But I have used the 52 and it is indeed very nice and fast!

For an IDE drive the Kenwood 72x is great. I've had one since they came out and mine still cranks along. I have used mine with Clone CD and it worked. All Toshiba drives are supposed to be awesome for copying programs or hard to read discs from what I have heard. I just ordered a Toshiba 12x SCSI DVD drive to go along with my SCSI Plextor 12/4/32.

I also have both the Kenwood 72X and Plextor 12/10/32A IDE and niether give me problems. What exactly is "CD Clone"? Using the Adaptec software (Easy cd creator 4) that came with my new Plex, it'll copy a cd directly ("copy CD") in less than 10 minutes w/o any problems, no coasters.
