If it's yellow only it's only carrying 12 volts - probably meant for a system fan.

I'm seeing a lot of PSUs like that lately.

I believe that is meant for the newer p4 systems.

But I could be wrong.

The middle one:

No these look just like a hard drive power connector except that they're usually single connectors per cable (not multiple connectors like hard drive cables) and they only have 12 volts on them.

They're strictly for use with system or CPU fans.

Then I suppose I am imagining seeing the 4 pin connections on some p4 mobos, eh.

Check the p4 mobos and newegg, you'll see they all have this. A p4 example, look above the north bridge:

No no no blade. You're right. The middle connector is strictly for P4 systems (and some dual AMD boards and newer AMD products I believe) and most power supplies have them. What Greg and FP are talking about look like a regular 4 pin molex connector (red, yellow, and 2 blacks) but it is missing the red wire, supplying only 12V. I have 2 in the same chain that have 1 yellow and 1 black wire and hook up to fans and my PSU will change the speeds in accordance to the PSU fan speeds.
