Catalyst 3.6 released

Post by NascarFool »

Yet another drivers release from ATI. They sure have been on the ball with new drivers. http://mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/w ... submit.y=4

*EDIT* Benchmark dropped from 14k to 10k. They are not worth using for benching purposes. They seemed to run fine but I went back to the 3.5 Cats.

I got a minimal increase in points with these drivers!
Did you forget to dumb down the quality settings before you benched? That stuff doesnt transfer over when you upgrade drivers!
Cat 3.6 is a good driver set, and I agree with ya, ATi is hittin the nail on the head with their drivers. Soon, they actually might be good at makin these unified drivers like nvidia, super easy to upgrade!

I tried a couple racing games using these new drivers. Couldn't really see any difference, but I don't think anything was slower.

On a fresh XP install, scores went up on mine. About the same as the 3.5's. 14,000+ 3D Marks.
