Not much doubt, video cards.

Who in their right mind would spend over $200 for one? :D Perhaps if you are a major gamer. But still, $300, $400 +. :eek: :;

Dunno whatchoo guys are talking about...I can buy a cheap-ass power supply by some company I've never heard of before which can be blamed for major system instability and get "a bargain", or I can buy a quality power supply that allows me to overclock my CPU like a mofo while running my machine 24/7 for a price some consider too much (or consider ludicrious, if it were a PC Power & Computing PSU...)

In layman's terms, you get what you pay for.

While the PSU prices for crap and the PSU prices for quality haven't changed much (if at all) in several years, even comparatively speaking, each new generation of videocards have always started out at astromical prices, only to be purchased at a garage sale three years later for pennies on the dollar.

Thus, CPU pricing based upon value and depreciation would outweigh PSU pricing by a VERY large margin.

anything over $25 for a good PSU is a joke, its only a transfomer after all.

with that aside video cards are the biggest rip off, even when they are a few years old they dont get below the $50 range, while you could grab a referb mobo at newegg for $29 and up.

I don't see a 100 dollar PSU as being a rip off... It is the most crucial part of the system as far as i'm concerned. I'd rather kick out for a top dollar PSU than 500 for a video card that 6 months down the road is old technology... most PSU's can be used for years unlike video cards.

I'll make it easy for you. Please supply a link for a truly good PSU under $30. Tens of thousands of people would like to know...if not hundreds of thousands.

I will notify people on other boards about these amazing quality-PSUs you obviously have singular knowledge about.

Considering you think the under-$25 PSU would not be joke, this shouldn't be much of a challenge for you.

alright, i will clarify, dick, a good psu should be $25 or less. there is no reason that they should cost more then that.
