The SLK800 is a great heatsink, good price range too, depending on where you are located. You mean an 80 x 38mm fan, correct? Get the fastest fan you can stand, as far as noise goes, any good brand name will work. Adjustable fan is nice, with a variable speed control. Use a good paste on it like Arctic Silver and not too much, just a thin layer on the cpu.

The big heatsinks are heavy, best mounted on the motherboard while OUTSIDE the case, so you can see what you are doing and you won't damage the cpu core. Sounds like a sweet setup :) And Welcome to PCA :)

Put the heatsink on the CPU before you put the motherboard inside the case. Much safer, if you try and put the heatsink/fan on after you put it in the case, it's easy to put too much pressure on the corners of the CPU core and chip or crack them.

SLK800 and stealth fan will be nice :)

That would do very well. ;)

If you have a fan controller you might consider something like a ys tech fan. Or the ys tech fan that comes with its own speed controller. This way you can make the fan go faster when you might need or want to.

The stealth is fine, but if you want more air flow for even more overclocking or better temps, then the ys tech would be a fine choice.

See here
http://www.kdcomputers.com/eui/prime/pr ... ponent.htm

That version has a fan control included so you can adjust it lower when you prefer quiet, or higher when you do gaming or other load things.

That's the 80mm version, a 92mm fan will also fit the slk800. Which is what I currently use.

Still though, using a stealth fan on that slk800, it'll do ya well. It's just some of us like more airflow for "tinkering". :d
