Any way to bypass the damn intros in BF1942?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Trying to get into this game now that I have a faster system and it actually SEEMS to run smoother.

Just annoying as hell to have to wait for the two promo intros and then hit ESC to bypass the movie, and then get another promo.

It get's tedious.

ALSO is there any No-CD patch available that allows you to play online? I HATE having to leave the CD in the drive. It's assinine, but as I understand it if you use a No-CD crack, it won't work online anymore.

Thanks.

Movies folder: delete or move them. keep background.bik if you want to keep the animation behind the options screen

no cd: you know about gamecopyworld by now don't you? anyway, yeah you can play it online with a no cd, it's just a little more work than usual...

Easy way, go to the shortcut properties and put +restart 1 and the end of the target. Should look something like this:

"F:\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1

you could always download the "merciless" pack, this cuts out the intro plus it's a very good mod, but I have been told of it really slowing perfomance on cracked games.
