A moment of silence............

Post by Shadow250 »

my poor amd 1.4 ghz has bitten the dust and gone to computer heaven. all it does now is turn on a few secs then turn off again. it has ripped many movies and ive played many games. it has served well but only for a year. however it will live again with cpu and memory. but the mobo is history. in closing i say " i wish i had a job" :(

to clarify whats wrong i belive the mainboard itself is bad the cpu and memory test ok in my friends machine. i know main boards arent too expensive but when you are unemployed buying computer stuff aint easy. i think my psu shorted something out cuz my 60 gb hdd fried which seagate is gonna replace my vid card is good so all i need is about 200 bux for a good psu and board.

Can't you get a M/b and P/s for around $100-$125 at newegg or directron for it?

Or maybe RMA the board?

Could be considered fraud to "fix" the date, but depending who you send it to it'd probably work.
Course I'm not suggesting doing such a thing.

If you have to rma to newegg or such they would probably catch it, but the manufactor don't know squat usually. They know when they made it by serial numbers probaly but I dought they know when it was retailed to you.

One of my older systems was running on a 260mb seagate still, but I upgraded to a 850mb right before I stopped using it :)

Course it was only a Win 98se system.

Don't worry bout being employed, after you pay your taxes it still ain't easy to buy computer stuff :(

You got a PC, go make some money! E-bay something :)

Glad your system is up and all going well. Money ain't the greatest thing, happiness is, so be happy :)

If you need to make a few bucks though, use your PC. Lots of things you can do, just use your imagination.
