IE screen resizing?

Post by Absolut Talent »

ok.....when ever I open IE by clicking on the blue e, the screen will come up and its already completely maximized

but when I click on a link to open up a new page, the new page opens up and its resized to about a quarter of the screen

is there anyway to make the new screens that pop up by clicking on a link to open up to be already maximized? I hate having to click the buttons :mad

btw, its on win2k
IE version 6.0.2800.1106
update: SP1 Q330994

if thats of any importance

It's an old problem with IE. IE always remembers the size of the last time it was opened (excluding maximized which doesn't count). If you want it to open next time as a larger size then you need to resize it larger (don't maximize it because that doesn't actually change the window size) and then close it.

Trouble is that if a small pop-up window happens to open next time around then IE will stubbornly remember that as the default size.

I wish MS would include a setting that would always force all spawned IE windows to open maximized.
