s/pdif from a7n8x work on a TV?

I am trying to get my TV to allow audio from the s/pdif port built in on my motherboard, I looked ont he control pannel and messed around with it some, but so far, I cannot figure out how to activate it. HELP! thanks

Only if your tv accepts digital sound, you just cant plug it into a rca jack, because its digitally encoded audio, your tv or receiver must have a dedicated digital in

most tvs dont have a digital input for audio, this is where your surround sound receiver comes into play

just get a RCA to Headphone jack plug and plut it in like that.
