How do you like that 2500? I am thinking of building a 333fsb system and that's the CPU I was thinking on.
How are you reading the temps and what system board you using? My Older Biostar from last year reads high temps with a 1700XP and so does the new one I just built a few days or a week ago with a 2000xp in it. Both Biostars are stock settings and show temps around 55c - 60c using the onboard system stuff.
My Shuttle and Iwill systems are much lower temps, and the Iwill is over clocked alittle. The rest are all stock defults.

Hmmm..
I'm running an XP1800+@XP2000+ and it runs 42* with stock cooling when under full load (FAH 24/7) and 38* at idle.. Hoping this drops dramatically once I get a better cooler and some AS or Ceramique for it. eGo

Only sure way to get accurate temps is with a temp probe under the cpu. Mobo's are rarely accurate reading temps. My gigabyte reads the temp 2-4c lower than what a temp probe says.
Other variables include some mobo's do run hotter than others. Then consider the peripherals.
xp 2000+ @ xp 2200+
idle 37-41 c
load 41-45 c
depends on room temp
Using an slk800 and a 92mm fan

My Athlon tbird 1.33 @ 1.43 runs about 127 F when running Folding @ Home (lately, I've been running it 24/7 for the past week or so). Idle, runs around 93 F, the other day it got down to 60 F?? LOL Anyways, I have the registry patch installed, where it makes the CPU actually IDLE. Also, room temp can have a huge influence. Lately, it's gotten hella hot in my room, my temp once got over 132.. :-\
Anyways, I can't wait to upgrade!
