Yeah, first board I looked at is the A7N8X. Nice board. I like the throttle on the CPU fan, and the fact that there's no chipset fan.
Onboard Firewire is cool - I can lose my firewire card.
I don't have a problem with the price.
Probably go with that. Now I need to decide on a CPU. What's the fastest CPU I can go with with my existing PC2100?

Not sure but I think the Asus like the Epox can run ram at an independent speed from the CPU thus you can use any CPU that the mobo supports and run ram at slower speed if necessary. I have heard mixed results in doing this and think the performance suffers doing so. Ram is fairly cheap now might want to go ahead and pop for some PC3500 or so.

Or you could hold out for a N-Force3
