I placed an overnight order for an Epox NForce2 board... it was nice having dual NIC's and SATA while it lasted <sigh>

How are the EP-8RDA+ treating you guys? BTW, this is going into the box w/ the Koolance Exos

Sorry to hear that man. I was just debating flashing the bios on my 8RDA+ tonight. Thinking harder about it now. MIne has been really good to me so far but is crying for some faster ram. Think I might have a deal going for some PC3500 but not sure yet. I think you will be happy with the Epox

Ah, to use gigabyte with it's redundant, automatic failover, lovely BIOS. 2 chips for the price of 1!

Sorry to hear about it though, Ed. Happens to the best of us. (Well, the best of us that DONT use gigabyte)

i'm kinda looking forward to putting the epox thru it's paces ... the asus had a bit of problem past 200fsb
also i'm looking around for a bios saver... multiwave sells them but i'm not sure if theirs is compatible w/ the epox

The Epox doesn't like going past 200 unless you change out the passive heatsink on the NB for a Vantec or water cool it. that passive sink gets hot enough to burn ya. I've heard others say they measured it at 60C+ i have a laser thermometer at work i'm gonna bring home to check mine with cause its gets pretty hot. First thing you need to do to the epox is take off the nb heatsink scrape off the pad and use some AS3 or some alumina.

i have 3 of those epox boards and haven't had any problems - i was using the online flash utility, but haven't been able to get in with it for a while but everything's ok

i have that same mushkin 3200 you have - i was able to get 210 fsb with that

the only real issue if the northbridge but you've got that covered

there is an issue with some power supplies - can't remember which - it's in Nexus' i hae this board thread :)
