who is the fastest?

Post by b-man1 »

who has the fastest overall rig here? following up on the other active thread of what everyone is running...i thought it would be cool to decide on a few benchmarks everyone can do and then post scores.

what benchmarks should we use?

*disclaimer: i know i am NOT the fastest. :)

My system was built months ago. It was more for utility than speed. It has a 1.6a o/c'd to 2.4G on an Asus P4B/533 mobo. An o/c'd Personal Cinema Ti-200 card (with a Card Cooler to keep it from melting). That's the "cheapie" stuff, but it gets the job done.

The gig of Crucial PC2700, a WD SE 120G drive, and a Plextor 40TSi are my speed-demon parts.

Otherwise, I figure I'm middle-of-the-road...no sense in embarrassing myself with benchmark scores...

I'd be down towards the bottom half to I think. This PC I'm using now is shared between me and the fiancee, but technically I built it for her (Will slowly, oh so slowly, build mine when I find a full time job)
It's a XP2100, not overclocked. With 512 of ddr2100 and an 80GB 7200 RPM Samsung drive.
Worst part is the video in it, a lowly Radeon 7500 which doesnt perform for shit!

But it's more then she needs, and good enough to get me buy on hehe
