Just think, all the he money he spent for his many many pictures, statues, mosques, posters, etcc that are to only praise him, if all that money went to the iraqi people, wonder how many would no longer be poor.

Ain't over til it's over.....it's gonna be what transpires AFTER the war that will be W's legacy. Interesting that reports of Turkish troops crossing over into Northern Iraq are being denied by our gov't.

I think we would ALL apperiate if you refered to our President With a little respect...ie President or Bush or something along those lines there Toad. Kind of getting sick of the lack of respect you give our President.

Not defending his opinions, but I will I fight to my last breath to defend his right to express them. This is a free country, and we silence those who disagree us we're no better than someone like Saddam ourselves.

I personally am a little tired of people wearing the Flag on their sleeves because it's fashionable to do so.

I think we need to lighten up a little bit, and some INTELLIGENT debate would be instructive.

Hay man, vid and I get along great we talk often, but there are times for insults and then there are not the times. Who the hell cares about politics or if you think we were wrong or right to go to war. We are At war. Its either time to be an "american" and support our troops and president, or its time to get a clue.

there is free speech and free stupidity, there is a difference. And there are the under the breath insults no one wants to deal with right now. I think that should be understood and expect back lash if that is what you plan on doing.

I have to agree with the Flags being Fashionable bit, but boy was I glad it happened. I happen to own over 225 Flags and 9/11 & American memorabilia.
I've always been a big Patriot, but up until 9/11 you couldn't find much for Americana items except for 4th of July, and even then its a limited collection. I now own a ton of real flags, plastic flags, flags for the car, pins, buttons, stickers, caps, window clings & newspapers.

Hell, after the 9/11 attacks I was asked by my company to go to NYC to our datacenter there and help rebuild it. We where 3 blocks from the Towers. It was such a surreal experience, something I'll never forget. Manhole covers being blown off by exploding sewer gas, works caked in dust, the streets an odd quiet.

I also have a piece of paper I found on the roof of our building, (It's big, but here's a scan of it)

Found out later the woman was one of the dead, and had a long email chat with her family members as they came across it on my old site.

So for me, I side with Greg, as I tend to be a little to hardcore American (If such a thing exists)

(P.S. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but when it comes to the Country I love I tend to vent. Hell, it isnt perfect here, but I wouldnt trade it for anywhere else. As the saying goes "I may not believe what you believe, but I will die defending your right to express it")

I don't believe some all of a sudden became patriotic. It just takes certain things to bring it out and show it.

Expressing opinions is fine, but not if carried to extreme. And as far as expressing opinions goes, Vid expressed his and nexus expressed his. I don't see the problem.

We live in America and this IS an American run site. If someone bashes America I will ban their ass! This is NO democracy, this is the USA of PCA!

And since we do live in the USA one should refer to our president with more respect than just an initial intended for insult. And that's my opinion.

I agree with the statement about George Bush Im not down with everyone "trying" to make him stupid etc. b/c the fact is he isnt.
I remeber a short time after the 9/11 attack when he was doing a press interview a reporter asked him like 7 questions all at once, difficult questions, and one after another answered them back without , " can you repeat the question?" like so many other people do. He is a standup guy to me.

We have alot of little smart ass radio DJs here in Monroe, Im sure Nitro could tell you, and they are always like cutting his voice to say some stupid childish junk and it really makes me mad. like today my g/f and I were driving home form the store and some guy put him doing a "secret interview" and he was basically saying how He is doing the war thing b/c Iraq belongs to him, and bla bla. He wants to rule the world. I couldnt believe it was on especially during a war. Some people simply do not know there ass from a hole in the ground.

I don't really see how refering to Prez Bush as "W" is showing disrespect. Many people use that to distinguish between him and Bush #41. What's disrepectful is this ever present mantra that if some Americans don't agree with our foreign policy that they are considered un-American........and to that I say " bullsh!t". If the intent is to turn this place into some kind of "right wing reactionary, goose stepping, ban anyone who disagrees with us bbs", then call it PCA's John Birch Society.

The fact of the matter is, while I don't agree with our course of action in Iraq, I recognize that our President has made a decision, following much debate, and I'm willing to support it. I'm 100% behind our troops. The intention of my post was to simply show that during war, things can change FAST ( i.e Turkish incursion into N. Iraq ) and that it's important and constructive to debate what the various ramifications might be.

If you think that you can only be "American" by rubber stamping everything that comes out of the White House then you have my sympathy.

My thanks to those posting above who validate my right to have an opinion.

Lastly, my condolences and prayers to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in order that I may live in a FREE society.

Thank you for your input. But I believe I'll pass on that suggestion. And frankly I rather resent that implication and insult.

I never said "ban anyone who disagrees with us" so please don't put words in my mouth, k. My comment was done mostly in jest and I thought the smiley conveyed that. Though if some frenchy came here to mouth off I admit he won't last long.

Now tell me, who ever said or even suggested that? Of course we don't always agree with what they do. My point was that in time of war we should support our goverment instead of making things harder for them. And you appear to be doing that. It's the protesters I don't care for. But they do have that right.
