An IT friend of mine who's had a LOT of problems with caps on Abit mobos sent this to me. It explains a LOT. Just can't believe what a stupid set of circumstances led up to it.

I have two Epox 7KXA boards (Slot A) One has onboard sound and the other doesn't. The one without sound has had two caps blow on it now. $1.98 fix at Radio Shack. I had an older Asus Slot 1 that blew a cap but I never got it running after replacing the cap.
