xp errors with all programs and IE

when i open a window of any program with internet explorer open then then windows error shows up and i have to cloes all the windows. wut could be wrong with it? i run windows xp pro

It would help if you described the error.

Did this start happening suddenly? Did anything change (added/removed hardware or software, did a Windows update)?

Since you're running XP I'd recommend using system restore to go back to a date before the problem started. If you get lucky that may fix it.

im not exactly sure what kind of error...... its like the error that shows up and asks you if you wanna send or not and it only pops up when IE is on. i repaired windows but it worked for a while and then i opened 2 windows of IE, AIM, MSN messenger, and word or excel. and the error would show up

The "want to send or not" message is just XP asking if you want to report the error to Microsoft. If you click on the details button it should give you some indication of what module caused the error.

Have you scanned for viruses?

Have you checked to make sure no unneccesary background apps are running?

Have you checked for spyware?
