MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4200 - FROM HELL! HELP!

Post by knightofnee1112 »

I bought an MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200 off newegg and when i got it it wouldn't load half of the games I wanted to play, giving error messages and if an application DID work it will kill itself in a few hours of play. I tried everything to isolate the issue. I tried it in several systems, re-installed windows, updated drivers, updated the BIOS, etc. WHAT TO DO?! I am gonna RMA the card if i can't fix it.. HELP!

Did you download the latest NVidia Detonator drivers? Don't use the drivers that come with it.

Did you completely uninstall the software and drivers for the old card? Most modern vid cards have an uninstaller option in the control panel's Add/Remove programs wizard.

The MSI drivers are crap. Just use the nvidia drivers, and everything works perfect.
