ROOSTER: When I was 18 - 25 I drank to get drunk and Bud or Coors was fine.

When I hit 30 I developed a taste for the finer things in life, and an aversion to hang-overs.

Wait a while....

"Schaefers... is the...one beer to have... when you're having more than one!"
Which translates: "If you're goign to drink one beer, have a GOOD beer. If you're going to get f'cked up, drink a case of Schaefers... it's cheap" :)

When I was younger I always had better taste than my finances could afford, so my rule was to start with one or two good beers, then drink crap beer the rest of the night. After the 2nd or 3rd your tastebuds are shot anyway, and once you're trashed ANYTHING tastes decent :D

Remind me to tell you sometime about the night I was at a studio party and the kegs ran dry. Friend of mine and I filled up a funnel with the little bit of beer everyone leaves in the bottom of their cups. You know, the ones that are usually used as ashtrays. I got the second funnel and I definately tasted more than a few cigarette butts....

Schaffer! Hahahah..I had an old 62 ford stepside p/u with a hurst shifter (I broke the 3 on the tree) anyhoo, I was playing around with a tap handle and wound up with a Schaffer shifter- the damn thing screwed right on. Jeez that brings back memories.. Do they still brew that crap?
I think the brewery was in Lehigh Pa. and you could see the vats through a big glass window from I-81 but I don't remember.

I like Coors Original or Coors Lite when I eat Mexican food. Whenever we go to Outback, I'll drink a couple of Foster's. Can't hack no Budwieser or Bud Lite.

Coors tasted better 20 years ago when it was illegal to get it in Florida. No the taste hasn't changed - just the mystique....

"Why is drinking Coors like making love in a canoe?"

"It's F'ing close to water."

RIM-SHOT PLEASE! :)

I could not agree with you more FP. When you couldn't get Coors in Texas, the few times someone would bring some back from a trip, they tasted great!

MAC,
I surprised you didn't mention 'Red Beer'.
I used to live outside of Ft. Worth(1981) and it seemed like everyone was drinking that stuff. Lone Star wasn't too bad but the comericals were better.
