I have done this with winNT before, but that was version 4.0, not 5.0 (win2k). I know it's MUCH more PNP friendly, but how is it towards adding a second cpu? will I have to reinstall the OS like I did in NT4? or is there a patch (the on for NT4 doesn't work at all)

At first I thought you had to reinstall, but further <a href ="http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb ... esearch</a> proved otherwise.

tried it a long time ago when I went from a single pII 300 to a dual pii 300, and later when I want from a PII 450 to a dual celeron. I'm going to see how the one works in win2k next week.
