New Rhoebus

Post by blade »

Each channel supports up to 20 Watts, significantly more than other brands. From the off position, each of the knobs turns on with a satisfying tactile click. The super bright LED lights up bright red. As you turn up the speed of each device, the corresponding LED changes from red to blue, indicating the relative voltage. The uniform tension of the knobs gives a quality feel that other controllers lack. This is the unit to get if you want smooth speed control and you will be adjusting it often.

It sounds almost perfect. If it only included extensions and at least 2 4-3 pin adapters. But this one will actually turn the fans off so you can use this with lighted fans and cathodes.

Available in either silver or black.

I wish the connections were bare leads. Its a lot easier to work with bare leads, cause its cheaper to route them around your case. I got a wire that supports two fans in one, so I route one wire (with a + and - within it) to my baybus that I have now. I just want to use the same wires for my rheobus. Think they'll make one using bare leads?

Here a review that has more pics.

Is this rhoebus what you were thinking Sean?

I have one of the Sunbeam Rhoebus on the way. I plan to use some 3-4 pin adapters I have to help to extend the connections too.

now I am starting to think.....should I ditch the vantec nexus one i got and go with one of these new silver ones? or should I stick with the nexus cause its only controlling 2 fans total. One 120mm on one channel, the other 120 on the second channel.
