i personally helped shoot down 16 iraqi jets over a period of 6 months that were flying in "no fly" zones in accordance with a treaty that hussein signed himself and agreed to adhere to. 4 of these planes were armed with active biological weapons. To say that he doenst have a nuke, have the tech to build one , or the desire is ludacris. If he doesnt have them yet, he will aquire them asap, and he wont hesitate to use them, how many other countrys fly around with chemical weapons armed sheeesh..
I had two siblings die of cancer due to a chemical spill in CA, i couldnt even imagine what that would be like on a large scale.. sorry bout the rants, but seeing first hand what i have seen, pisses me off when i witness people defending these animals

Now see, if more people knew facts like this and if facts like this were more in the press, most people would NOT be against us overthrowing sodamn insane. It would show them to be more the animals that they are.

The reasons need to be spelled out and in black and white where everyone can see. Then we'll have more backing. Right now we seldom see anything other than "we know they are lying". People need to see proof.

i wouldnt worry about the draft, after all the downsizing in the military under the previous prez, theres lots of people who wanted in and never got in. I am a civilian now, (and enjoy it) but i am on the inactive reserves and will be more then happy to serve again if i am called to arms

Yeah if solid proof was available, more people would be sure that taking action is the right thing to do. However, even if a slam dunk, no doubt at all case is made, there will those who don't want to do anything. Hell these peeps didn't want to go after bin Laden and his Taliwacky butt buddies.

Unless there is a major emergency, there won't be a draft.

"Present – At this time, the U.S. operates under an all-volunteer armed forces policy. All male citizens between the ages of eighteen and twenty-six, however, are required to register for the draft and are liable for training and service until the age of thirty-five."

In a few months I'm 35.

Back during 1990 when Hussein first acted up, someone on a job I was working on mentioned a "reverse draft". This is where the older guys would go fight. People can come up reasons why this would be a good or bad idea.

If there was a draft I'd be more than willing to go believe me. But i doubt they'd even let me in. I've got one knee that dislocates itself whenever it feels like it wants too and serious back trouble... When the knee goes out i'm down for a week and then it takes me a month before i can even move around decent again. Last thing i need would to be fighting a war and have my knee dislocate...

I'm still waiting on a smoking gun. I just want to see something solid. The current US administration has done nothing but point fingers (Brits, too). I just wanna see some evidence before we go to war. I feel quite confident that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, but I don't like war on a feeling.

I'm also afraid of what N. Korea will do when (not if) we go to war with Iraq. The leader there is a complete WACKO, and he really thinks he can take on the US with a couple of nukes. I have a feeling we are going to end up fighting two wars simultaneously. Can we handle it? I am not so sure. Bush is continually trying to calm N. Korea down, but they seem Hellbent on stirring up trouble. I don't get it. I mean, the US is actually agreeing with China (and France! Even the rifle-dropping French are mad at N. Korea!) about N. Korea. You'd think they would notice unilateral international opinion against them, but apparantly not.

the NK leader don't have a brain in his head... if they launch a nuke at the US they can pretty much rest assured their shitty little country will not be on the map. I don't think he's that stupid but who knows... I've been reading some stuff... Honestly i don't think Saddam has the WMD that Bush claims he has... I'm not saying he don't have any cause i'm sure he does but i don't think its enough to raise serious alarm... Saddam knows he don't stand a chance and will have a cruise missle up his ass in no time flat. I think right now they need to focus on NK... I say just launch a quick operation and take out their nuke plants... end of problem. Tell them they were told to shut them down or reinstall UN security camera's and they failed to do so... The US has fought a war on 2 fronts before so i'm sure it could handle it now... there's over 1.5 million in the armed forces it would probably require a lot of reservists called up and if it went on for any time they would start to draft again i'm sure. I think we're seeing the beginning stages of WWIII to be honest... Its been too calm for too long...

As are some of you, to me it looks like NK should get our military attention. They are openly defying us and their agreements and clearly are trying to blackmail us.

It's also very clear NK is ONLY doing this because they know we are committed to disarming Iraq. Therefore they feel the need to talk all big and bad. "defy the Americans" seems to make them feel proud.

I just wish we know more other than "we know Iraq has WMD's". But perhaps our government feels if it's let out where they are, then Iraq would hide them again.

It wouldn't break my heart if we bombed them both to oblivion. What's NK going to do anyway other than talk dirty to us? If they tried anything we'd have their butts burned quickly. Otherwise they'd sure love to own SK. And at this point I believe most Americans could care less considering how SK hates us now.
