Good OC MOBO?

Post by Pugsley »

ok... what is a good over clockers board for a XP1800 CPU? I dont need on board crap (but i know it will have it) 3pci 1AGP. I would like to spend as little as possible. Also what speed ram will be that fastest this cpu can use? Im not hip to anything above pc133. Price is an issue, so least expensive or best for the dollar type of thing. I would be willing to pay a bit more for a quality product.

Thanks in advance

The Epox KT333 boards are all excellent overclocking boards... but its DDR ram so you would need new ram also... If your still wanting to use your SDR i haven't got the foggiest on what to get... its been over a year since i owned a SDR board that i overclocked on :D

you can pick up used 8k3a+'s for 60-70 on the forums... price of them has really went down since all the new boards have hit the market... can't really go wrong with this board and a stick of PC2700 aka 166/333 DDR

ok... so 2700 is the type of ram i will be useing on this rig... thanks. ill keep my eye out for one. i would be looking for a mobo and a stick of 512. I would have to buy them both at the same time... but im short on cash at the moment due to the LED stock piles i have.
