Anyone want to sell a copy of XP Home?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I know this should go in the trade forum, but it'll probably get lost in there.

I'm starting to have to troubleshoot a lot of networking issues for XP Home systems, and it would be real convenient if I had a system running XP Home to use as a testbed (there's quite a few subtle differences between Home and Pro so I can't always try things out on a Pro system).

However I don't feel like paying full retail for XP Home. Any disgruntled XP Home owners out there who switched to Win2K or XP Pro and want to sell me their Home CD?

Thx....

Not sure if that's keyed to the Toshiba BIOS (Dell does that - you can't install it on anything but a Dell) but if you don't need it I'll try it.

I'll email you.

Still prefer a retail Home edition - full or upgrade.

From the newsgroups it seems that Toshiba BIOS locks their XP Home recovery CDs, so that won't work. Thanks anyway.
