Patch fixes dual monitor support in PowerDVD

Post by FlyingPenguin »

For you fellow PowerDVD users who also have dual monitors. There's an update patch for powerDVD Xp 4.0 that allows it to work with dual monitors (at least it works for me).

Previously I would have to disable the secondary display to watch a DVD.

Hmmm, I have never had to disable the 2nd monitor to watch DVD's with PowerDVD.

Are you still using UltraMon? I'd be interested to know why you couldn't before. Could it be the vid card?

Yes using Ultramon 2.

It apparently only affects some card combinations according to posts I've been reading on newsgroups.

It used to work fine when I had a Savage4 as the 2nd display card, but when I swapped it for a Geforce2 MX PowerDVD would give me an error until I disabled the 2nd display.

Not that it's a hassle disabling it, but I like leaving the PowerDVD control panel on the 2nd display while using full screen on the first.
