I had been thinking of making a thread about our favorite games all-time. :)

So, don't mind me. :D But here are my choices:

#1 Quake - (the first one) Nothing has ever grabbed me like that did

others:

Duke 3D
Killing Time - underrated and very fun classic
Rally Championship
Unreal
NFS3
NFS5
NFS SE
Road Rash - mucho fun!
Moto Racer 2
Moto Racer
Turok
Daikatana - hehe, j/k :D :p
Sin

2 news ones may have to be added to my list later, Moto Racer 3 and Rallisport Challenge.

Tastes vary so this may end up being a very interesting thread. :)

Okay, are we just saying the best game regardless of any other factors (console, graphics, genre)??? Cause I could list off my favs for every console/computer.

would have to be age of empires - 1,2,3,4 - I still dig that out and play it - endless replay value and one of the first and still one of the best online multiplayer games

i hold a few different games as "best" for each system

Nintendo- battletoads (1 and 2)
Genesis- Sonic the hedgehog 2
Super Nintendo- SuperMario
Sega CD- Sewer shark
playstation- Grand theft auto
saturn- panzer dragon
dreamcast- Virta Fighter (forgot which one, but you can fight as a car from daytona racing or a cactus)
playstation 2- toss up between gran tourismo3, tekken tag team, dead or alive 2
x-box and game cube are still up in there air cause I have not played either of them yet
PC- well there are a few here. Doom and wolfenstine cause they started the fps phenomenom, but personally I enjoyed the games of Wing Commander (1-3), 7th guest, 11th hour, and phantasmagoria.
Gone for good. But never say never

Thanks Absolut! :) I couldn't remember the name of "Phantasmagoria". Probably the first game I actually kept on playing till the end. Very cool and atmospheric game with a spookiness. And how about that soundtrack.

If you liked that game I suggest Killing Time. Seems to go forever and gets better and better, but even then it isn't long enough.

Phantasmagoria 2 was not nearly as good as the first one. To me anyway.

atari: kaboom
intelivision: shark shark
nes: probably mario
sega master system: action fighter and bomber run
sega genesis: shining forces/vectorman
sega cd: lunar/eternal champions
32x: virtua fighter
snes: metroid I think (never reeally liked any of the snes games, was probably the controlers fault)
3do: that burning racer game
neo geo: king of fighters
saturn: the panzar dragoon series
ps1: final fantasy
n64: mario cart
DC: tough, I like so many...lodoss war
ps2: grand car what ever 2
xbox: halo
gc: havent touched it
PC: diablo 1 or total annihilation

A few things to clear up. Absolute, that DC game U are talking about is actually a saturn game, called fighters megamix. it has all the players from virtua fighter, last bronx, some other game and then the hidden players

lol, I still remember the cut sceans from the first one where the guy kills his wives. The one where he straps her down and feeds her entrails through a funnel till she chokes. And trying to outrun the demon at the end....took me forever to find the pannel in the theature

classic!!

but I havent played the second one yet, I am looking for it (posted it in the fs forum)
i will have to check out killing time if I can find it also :)

Just off the top of my head from the past few years (all I play are PC games), I'd say:

Diablo
Fallout series
Baldur's Gate series
Half-Life (and DoD)
Tribes 1
Duke Nukem
Quake
Total Annihilation
Warcraft 2
GTA 3
Hidden and Dangerous
Jedi Knight 2
Medal of Honor:AA
Max Payne
Deus Ex
Mechwarrior 2

All of these games I've either played thru more than once (except BG, but the entire series took like 250 or so hours) or online a lot...

-Counter-Strike
-Solstice (Nes)
