i just but a tyan s1854 mobo in the wifes rig !and running a slot 1 p3-800
maxtor 15 gig 5400
pc 100 ram
a cd slot load
and floppy
im getting on fresh boot - remove disk from floppy !
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

It's possible you have the ribbon cable reversed on one end.

no it was not this is a p3-800 intel slot !
the other one i had for you is a amd slot 1 800 k7m
