Never used the progrma but if its like any other windows FTP client, you should be able to create "folders" in the FTP server anywhere.

Use BulletProof G6 FTP :) Pretty simple FTP program with a good help file.

First off are both drives on the same computer? cause if your trying to let him see a mapped network drive it won't work... If both drives are on the same computer it just needs to be setup like the rest of them are. And servu ain't that great of a program G6 is much better...

seems as if you have your D drive setup as the home directory... What you need to do is make directory call it home... then set it as your home directory. Then inside of that directory you need to make a link to your c and d drive... that should work.

Looks like your home dir right now is C:\ That might be a bad move. I would personally make a folder, call it something like "my computer" and put short cuts to the drives you want your friend to access. Then make that folder you created the ROOT DIR. G6 will look at that directory and then you'll be able to branch out like you do when you double click on my computer on the desktop.

Oh yeah, and make sure you setup it up so that G6 can resolve those links. WHen you are looking at the account, there shoould be a ton of tabs on the right: Setup, Misc, Links, etc. Click on "links" and make sure "links ot add dir" is checked. Also make sure the radio button on "treat as virtual dir" is clicked. And lastly, make sure "resolve windows shortcuts" is checked. That should be all.

[edit]
and lastly, you'll want to make the port something other than 21 cause people do a lot of port probes to search around for anonymous FTP servers. I would make it something like 1041 or some odd crap. Either that or you'll start to notice a bunch of odd and ranom IP's trying to access server.

I don't use any FTP programs. I've not seen any point to it yet. All I do is send my buddies an address that looks like this:

ftp://68.58.92.222:XXXX where "XXXX" is the port # and then they can access it using IE (well, most of my friends can, for some reason one can't)

Passive FTP mode could be the problem. If you are behind a firewall that is the cause most likely. Bulletproof has a setting dealing with Passive mode where you set your IP to be the public and not private IP and then the specific port.
