Thinking of making a cheap system to give to someone out of that free P4B socket 478 mobo Asus sent me (see other post).
Don't want to spend much money, and I'm really not familiar with the newer Intel products.

yea, the ydo, but from what I have read they are pretty ASSY. not only in normal speed but in OCing they ant great eithor cause they use the older wafer design.

I think i read somewhere that 2.0 and up uses the new chip desifgn - there was a recent review - maybe toms that showed a 3.0 cele getting whupped by a 2.24 p4 as i recall

Don't really care about performance. This will be a system for a non-gamer who wouldn't ever notice the difference between 500Mhz and 2Ghz.
