please help me find a Samsung Original PC2700 512MB module!

Post by Sunny129 »

i've run a search on pricewatch for "samsung original PC2700 512MB." only one page of results shows up, and of those results, only a handful are actually "original" samsung. of those, i have yet to call one and hear that they sell samsung chips on actual samsung PCB. its as if they are all guilty of false advertising. so i turn to the people of the forums to help me find what i need. either the URL of a vendor who you know for a fact sells samsung original memory (samsung chips on samsung PCB), or a direct link to the exact product would be greatly appreciated. i already know that newegg sells the real thing, but they are out of stock. anyone know of some other places that sell samsung TCB3 chips on samsung PCB?

Just go to svcompucycle and get the samsung they have there. Its 3rd party stuff but mine does 220FSB and light mem timings... Don't know what the big deal about the original crap is. The stuff i got months ago is rated at CAS2 at 166/333 whereas the majority of it is only cas 2.5

I got mine from http://www.svcompucycle.com and it is also the third party with Samsung chips. Best ram I've had so far. It was rated at CAS 2.5 but has no problems at CAS 2 on my Epox 8K3A+.

well i'm going against my plan, but i went ahead and purchased a stick from SVC. it should be here in a few days. assuming it gets here by the weekend, that's when i'll be building my new system since i already have the other parts. i'll let you guys know how the memory works out. thanks, eric...
