I'd say either Samsung PC3200 or the Corsair XMS PC3200... can't go wrong with either and both will run pretty aggresive memory timings... Even the PC2700 of either one is good ram.

I went with the Corsair XMS 3000 Platinum because it had lower latency than the XMS 3200.

what about that new GeIL memory or Xtreme stuff?

like this: http://www.gameve.com/store/gameve_view ... roduct=559 or these: http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2/me ... y_Code=RAM

I was thinking of the corsair though, but what about this stuff.

IIRC Geill and Xtreme are just a new name for OCZ...take from that what you will....

I went with this corsair I'm not sure if the "screened for gaming" means more aggressive timings or what but I figured a 2 dollar premium over standard corsair 512 was not much so I kind of gambled

*edit* my p41.8a tops out at 143 so I didnt really need >2700 and 152 seemed like a good price

if you have a more fsb friendly chip/mobo then it may be worth it to go for the 3200 etc

im not so sure about that ocz bit. I have been looking into it a bit and im still undecided. I just like to buy from sites that help PCA and none of them sell corsair so far as I can tell, but what ever. maybe ill jsut stick with this pny 2100 stuff I got. it is nice and I dont really have the $$ to spend.

The stuff you linked to is known as the Platinum from what I understand. That is what I picked up in the XMS 3000 series. It has lower latency than the standard XMS stuff. The chart is on their website. It is overkill for what I need but I picked it up for the future and because of the lower latency. I believe it was 2-3-3-5-T1 vs 2-3-3-6-T1. The faster stuff has the silver heat shield. I can't find it listed on their site now, maybe it was a limited edition or something. It is listed on newegg still.
