My system was hosed on saturday because I think to overclocking. Anyway, just got home and leaving again tomorow. Typing this from my brothers system so this may be my last message till I get back either tuesday or later in the week, depending. Anyone trying to email me and getting no reply, you know why.

I got a call saturday afternoon that My Mom and step dad was in a very bad accident. I was told my Mom was critical and lost an eye and is in surgery. They were coming back from the beach and the acident happend about 3 hours from here in Goldsboro.

My brother and I drove there not knowing how she really is till we got there. Anyway, she is alive. :) She did lose an eye, broken wrist, bruised heart and other assored bruises and cuts on her face and elsewhere. She looked plain pitiful. :( So sad that she lost an eye. But, she is at least alive. She is 78 years old.

What I gather happened someone pulled in front of them on a freeway and smashed into them on my Mom's side. The collision accured with both going around 55-65 mph. The collision caused my step dads car to flip over and they ended up upside down. So here was my 78 year old Mom, hanging (seatbelts) upside down in dire pain, a bone sticking from her wrist and her eye out and bleeding. For around 40 minutes. :( :( :(

Help was there quickly but the problem was glass everywhere and they had to cut the door out and then free my Mom. My step dad just suffered a broken wrist, some broken ribs and possible some damage to his leg, not sure yet. It's mainly swollen.

The worst was my Mom losing her eye which she is having a hard time accepting. She looked so beat up laying in the hospitol bed, and so sad. :( But again, she is alive. Although in pain, even with pain medication like morphine.

We had to come home but are leaving again monday. They may bring her down here tuesday, but could also be later in the week. Just not sure yet. Not sure when iI'll be able to post again and it may be as early as tonight if I get my system fixed, or later next week.

The one who hit their car died on the scene. She was the mother of 3 who had the 3 kids in the back seat. One is in critical condition. The other 2 are pretty much ok.

Sorry this was so long, but I had to release. Thank you for listening. :)

My Mom is as religious as they come and is as sweet and humble as anyone ever has been and will do anything she can for anyone. Yet this happens to her. :( yeah, some great god we have huh.

Later, when I can. Thanks for being such good and loyal friends. :) I really need you now.

Mike,

I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to your mother and stepfather. Take whatever time you need to take care of her and I'll do my best, with the help of the moderators, to look over things around here while you're away.

You mother sounds a lot like mine. She’s a bit younger, but also a very devoted Christian woman with a heart of gold. While our beliefs may differ, I deeply respect her unfaltering faith and would be as devastated as you are now if anything like this happened to her.

Just do what you have to and worry about all of this later. My thoughts are with you and your family. :(

You hear about stuff like this all the time but it really doesn't effect you until it's someone you know. I's a sad day for us all. I know I can speak for most of us and say that we do know you. My prayers and wishes to you and your family.

My thoughts are with you Blade. And your mom has had, and will have, a tough time, but at least you are going to see her in a hospital and not a funeral home.

LMK if there is anything I can do.
