Anyone have a link to download IE 6 SP1?

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I need the Network Download version of IE6 SP1 (the full installation file, not the 500K installer that then downloads the remainder).

I need to do upgrades for clients on dial-ups.

I don't know WHY they make this so difficult. I went to Microsoft's Download site and couldn't find it.

Sigh....

Thanks.

I can't either. All of the usual suspects (download.com, tucows, etc,) all give you the 500k express file.

Doesn't seem to be the full installer - WAY too small I think at 2.5mb (heck IE6 installer was around 40Mb). It's something else - provides a way to customize your IE installs.

The only suggestion I can give is your MaxPC CD. However, I dunno if the latest SP1 has been included or not in the recent discs, I kinda just toss them aside lately...

Otherwise, it's a bummer, but MS is rather adament about doing the "installer" thang for IE lately...
