will win xp run on a amd k6-2 550 mhz w 256mb ram?

don't see why it wouldn't. might be a little sluggish though.

It should run but just like Win2K it will like more ram.

I put xp on a 300@450 celeron a with 256mb ram, runs just fine, of course slower than on my amd systems though.

It runs fine on my Celeron 366@550... Should run just fine on that...

yes it does i have amd k6-2 500mhz with 128mb ram runnin xp prof. She does not run as great as better processor would but it gives sort of smooth ride

It'll run fine, you'll probably want to turn off some of the eye candy though.

I have Win2k Pro on a 266MHz PII laptop... it has 32 or 64MB ram. Runs slow, but very stable :)

Heh-heh...I used to have Win2K running on a P5/133 with 32 megs for months at a time without rebooting...of course, the box was only used for target/host debugging, so I would disable audio and any other extraneous things not needed. Ran spiffy for what I needed it to do.

I'm currently running my Win2K debugger on a P5/166 MMX with 64 megs (it definitely likes more RAM...)
