I haven't tried the Aopen but I've bought 4 Lite-on 32X burners from NewEgg (about the same price as the Aopen) and they're EXCELLENT. Highly recommend them.

32x? The Aopen above is a 48x. If they're the same price, I don't see the Lite-ons being any kind of "deal".

Anyone have the Aopen?

Ones I bought are 32x.

They have a 48x Lite-on for $73, 40x for $64 (and it's not like you'll notice the difference in speed - it's mere seconds difference to burn a whole CD).

Great drives. They're a rock and never seem to blow a burn.
