I was doing some research on the forums at AMDmb.com and found this OUTSTANDING tweak!
Apparently true AGP mode is disabled on the IWill XP333. Even though I had installed the latest 1.82 ALi AGP driver and used their AGP utility to make sure AGP was enabled, you STILL have to do something else.
You have to use RivaTuner to change a registry setting that unlocks AGP mode. I went from 97.5 to 157 fps in Q3 timedemo test ( custom demo, full eye candy, 1154x864).
That's a BIG improvement! I was concerned because SOF2 was not running much better on this new rig than on my old P3-1000 system. Now I'll have to go play some SOF2.
Here's the relevant instructions:
Note ALi Chipset Users: If you have a motherboard that uses the ALi chipset, you will find that AGP is not enabled by default. When this is the case, performance will be very low. To enable it, you'll need to get RivaTuner, and go to the PowerUser section, open a matched detonator database and go to the system section. There you'll find a key named EnableALiAGP. Give it a value of 1 to turn it on, and reboot. You should now have AGP enabled and get a very nice boost in performance.
HOLY COW! Tweak gave me 50% improvement in game performance on IWill XP333 Mobo!!!!

I just swapped rigs now that I'm certain of the new one's stability. Very happy with it - ESPECIALLY after that tweak.
Just played some SOF2 and FINALLY I can play at 1024x768 without any lag and I haven't even overclocked the vid card yet - keeping things stock for now to test stability, but this GF3 Ti200 overclocked like a son-of-a-gun on my old P3-1000 system.
