Help With adsl Connection

Do i need only the modem or i need the service for this connection??

Both.....depending on youir carrier but most likely both.

You have to have a provider. They have to verify that you are within the alloted distance to the phone company and they have to setup the phone line for DSL. A few months ago I got Earthlink and it took them almost three weeks to set it up.
