Is it worth it to buy these Temperture Gauges, and System Monitors for my system? I think I might go with the TempGauges, just for the asthetic value. But the more expensive system monitors Im not sure about. What do these tell me? And what of that is really important?

Not really, unless you plan to do overclocking. And even then most just use mobo monitor . It isn't always accurate but it does give you a good idea. And it's free. 
Plus with these newer cpu's the temp sensor probe that all gauges currently have is not long enough to properly fit between the heatsink and cpu. You have to carefuly cut off some of the plastic coating on the wire before the sensor so the thin sensor can go where it's suppose to go.
Some of the more expensive ones have sensors you can attach not only to the cpu but also things like your hard drive, video card, et.. Not worth it to me. Unless you just want to know how hot everything is. Main thing to be concerned with is the cpu temp, and then usually if you are overclocking.

I picked up a Hardcano 2 the other day and really liked it. It was only $25 and has two LCD temp read outs and a small fan to cool the HDD that you can mount behind it. Now I dont think the fan does all that good of job at cooling the HDD but some is better than none. The temp probes on it all ready come stripped and it was very easy to install it right to the underside of the CPU core. Turns out MBM5 was reading my CPU temps 4-6 degrees cooler than actual temp. MBM5 did read my case temp accurately tho. Another big plus to me is the way it made my case look. In my book well worth the $25

Actually you have to remove the heatsink and the CPU both at least to do it the right way. The probe gets attached right to the underside of the CPU core and the bare wires straddle the pins when they get inserted into the socket. This gives the most accurate readings. You can always mount it where ever you want like between the heatsink and top of the CPU but your readings might not be as accurate. I have even seen a guy who just stuck his probe in the fins of the heatsink. He then bragged about his low temps all I could do was laugh. Mount it on the underside like the instruction show it really is not hard to do.

Since the hardcano II has two sensors, you can place one under the cpu and the other between the heatsink fins. Of course you'll get a higher temp when attached in the fins but I placed the second one there anyway just for fun, for now. But I did place it as close to the bottom of the slk800 I could. Temps range 2-4c cooler from the one under the cpu.
Otherwise the second one can be placed on the video card, hard drive etc.. And this hardcano II looks cool too.
Doesn't do much for hard drive cooling though but at least a little cool air is brought in. The case I have now has 4 fans in the lower front so I keep my hard drives there for cooling instead.
