Virus Alert, *IE update*

That's an older virus but one that can still be destructive. More than likely it did come through oe. It probably has a script written in the email or perhaps an atachment, and it sounds like avg caught it. But read this, and see the removal instructions to be sure you don't have it.

Plus install the ms patch at the bottom of that link, that helps to block a virus like that.

Got another one to add to this topic. I have been getting around 2-3 a day through my GamingGroove account and I got one today with the message:

This is my new game
You are first to try it
No one else has it
Hope you like it.


Fortunately NAV caught it and all the rest and kept my computer free. Each one has come from a different email address as well.


Oh yeah, this was the KLEZ virus.

My new system came with PC-cillin... is that any good, or should I still install an alternate/additional virus protection???

I just got one of those virus emails, the Re:the Garden of Eden one @ my hotmail account. Although i rarely open hotmail emails, reading this forum surely stopped me from getting that bastard of a virus/worm/bug because i probably would have opened that. Thanks for the warning blade
