I've learned my lesson... the hard way...

Ordered a refurbed Radeon 8500LE from NewEgg for only $84...

package came in today and everything seems ok.

this being my first refurb purchase from them, i immediately tested the card... DEAD :(

i guess this'll teach me to purchase refurb over the net eh? on top of that, i'm gonna lose out even more money when i send this back cuz they don't refund shipping

i guess i'm gonna order strictly new from NEWegg now :/
just placed an order for the replacement... a MSI Ti200 w/ 128MB DDR for $135...

I am 50/50 on newegg refurbs. I got an MSI mainboard that drove me nuts with intermittent weirdness. I finally RMA'ed it and Newegg didn't give me a lick of trouble...

That kinda sucks? I always thought they sold *working* refurb'ed items? I bought my motherboard (8K7A+) from newegg, refurbished of course, and it's been working wonderfully.

Sorry to hear that, chettoED

The Gainward GF4 4200 would've been sweet... but I've already maxed out my budget..
I was actually planning on just buying the cheaper Radeon 8500LE's... but I couldn't stay away from the MSI Ti200 128MB.. especially since my current MSI Ti200 is running 240/520 stock cooling
