Let's see. I love spider-man. My alltime favorite superhero. So does Blade. I hate spiders. So does blade. Maybe reading all those spider-man comics does something to your brain?

Anyhow, I thought the movie was great. Spider-man ranks up there with Superman I and Burton's Batman.

Though I am not sure who this guy spiderman is. Sounds like a jewish name if you say it out loud (speed-er-man) :D

114 million bucks for the weekend smashing Harry Potter's old record of 90 million, and it isn't all hype either, I may go back and watch it a second time.

great movie... but how come it feels like there was more of Kirsten Dunst's jumping up and down wet tshirt in the previews than in the movie?

Yep, it's a great movie IMO. One of the better ones I've seen in a while and I hope they make a part 2.

Now I'm waiting for some of the movies previewed like MIB 2 (looks awesome, MIB is one of my all time favorite flicks), Goldmember (looks like another "classic") and the upcoming Tom Cruise movie with a title that doesn't seem to fit: "Miniority report" (or something like that?) ....at any rate, looks a mix between a like a cool futuristic sci-fi thriller and another Tom Cruise Mission Impossible venture from the preview.

Well...deep subject huh. :D

Maybe I was expecting too much since I don't rememeber seeing anyone say anything bad about this. And this is by far my all-time fav comic. But I still liked it.

Just not as much as I thought I would. Toby McGuire was perfect as Peter Parker. More perfect than Chris Reeve as Superman imo. I am not a Kristin Dunst fan, always thought she comes across rather trashy. Nice tomatoes yes, acting was so so at best. I never found her that attractive either. That idiot who played the newpaper editor over acted bigtime and was not a positive. The Green Goblin was very good, but my fav was always Doc Oc. Still, DeFoe did very well. I think he'd make a perfect Doc Oc too.

Action scenes were too short and some too close or quick to see what was really going on. But there is no doubt I liked this far and I mean FARRR better than any of the Batman movies. Superman I and II hit me better when I first saw them as did X-Men. And I always hated the X-Men comics.

I just expected more and that's my fault. So to be sure I must see it again later. :D

I felt the same way. Effects and digital processing were great but the acting and action scenes weren't really there. Kirsten Dunst is cool, acting wasn't up to par but the rainy night scene kind of made up for it. Plot was good but a little predictable (re: fire scene, ending). I'll try not to give it away. Hopefully a sequel will come around and maybe some better casting jobs, more action, and less romantic type scenes.
